Birthday card

I have made a birthday card for Dan's best friends little girl who has just gone three and we are going to see on Sunday. I used the Pink Gem design princess and dragon stamps coloured in with my copics. I am still trying to find my form with these and so I get fed up and don't use them enough! Lynne's last few cards have inspired me to pick them up again. I have also done the same design using my new honey bee Tilda stamp from Craft Den. I have added stickles to her wings to make them look more floaty.

Paper are Black Market Designs and Making Memories, Funky Vintage Ruby. Card stock is Bazzil swiss dots and leaf embossed. The butterfly punches are both Martha Stewart from Craft Den.

Back again!

Hello, I'm back for a while I hope, been really busy with Emma's op and the aftermath. We had my lovely mum last week helping to look after Emma while Dan and I had to work and I was away in Bracknell and then Dan's mum and dad came over on Sunday to see Emma and stayed the night (we are an added extra for all Grandparents now, they come to see Emma now!). On Saturday we had a family photo session at Emma's nursery and spent a rather large amount of money on photos (gulp) but the photos were fab and can't wait to get them. I'll scan a couple and post them when they arrive.

As promised a long time ago, here is my latest 8x8 pages for my baby Emma album. 10 down only 14 to go..... I am only using the DCWV Nanna's nursery 8x8 pad and have all my photos chosen in each album pocket so I am picking it up when I have only a little time to scrap and can still feel satisfied at finishing a page.

Also, I got some lovely, lovely Bo Bunny Love Bandits and Persuasion papers from Craft Den and did a layout of Emma rocking on a park ride last summer. These papers are amazing and the page really made itself as the patterns are so lovely. I am afraid I have used the dreaded P word for the title, yes they are peeloffs! I think I've got away with it as they are clear and I have stuck them on coordinating paper and cut them out. Don't tell anyone anyway. Really looking forward to Craft Den on Thursday, I have missed it and everyone :-))

Happy Mummy

I haven't blogged for a while (sorry, work as usual) and probably won't for the next week or so, as I am away with work next week and also off looking after Emma. Emma had a double hernia operation yesterday, and thankfully has come out of it really well, apart from an initial need for some morphine when she woke up. She's up and walking today after some encouragement, and slept through last night, so I am a happy mummy!! The anaesthetic was the worst thing. Seeing your baby suddenly slump to one side while sitting on your knee, even though you have been told that she would go quickly, and having to support her head suddenly is really scary, and I admit I left the theatre room quite shakily. Throughout the whole day I could not fault the paediatric nurse and doctor teams at the Hallamshire, absolutely nothing was a problem and we were never alone for more than a short space of time before they came round to check her again.

Just had some little bit of crafting time tonight. The past few nights I have not been able to concentrate worrying about the upcoming op, and last night I just collapsed into bed! I have done another 8 x 8 page of my album of Emma as a baby. I'd already chosen all the photos for the album and am only using DCWV Nanna's nursery girl papers, so I could just pick up and do a quick page without too much thought, which was what I needed tonight. Will post a piccy later when I have time to take a picture in the daytime along with my layout for last week's CraftDen S/B class. I am looking forward to coming back when Emma is better :-)
