Hurray, a bit of crafting time!

Hello, work has gone a bit made lately, and still working now, but I did make some time and had Sat night off and did some scrapbooking!! What a lovely feeling.

The first page I used some K & Co Amy Butler papers, and some lovely new My Mind's eye Bloom and Grow decoupage die cut flowers and fabric brads from the Craft Den. Cardstock, paper flowers and chipboard letters from stash.

The second page is giving me problems - the ribbon and badges won't stay stuck down! I will have to take some advice! The ribbon to make the flowers and the gather at the bottom of the page are from Craft Den, also the green paper (I can't remember what it is called!! Other ribbon, badges, cardstock and blingy letters from stash.

Me and Em made some buns this afternoon, she was very proud of them. Here is the proud girl herself, and a few piccies that proud mummy took. The blue one she ate first!! I feel a scrapbook page coming on!

I know the piccies are not really in order, will have to tidy up in the week, bit busy, lol!

Right back off to work, and looking forward longingly to scrapbooking at Craft Den on Thursday!!!

Start of my 7gypsies envelope book

Just a quickie, here's the first page of the 7gypsies envelope notebook, decorated with adirondack acrylic paint, K & Co Madeline papers from Craft Den and some green ink, chipboard butterflies and bling from stash. I decorated the back page the same as well but haven't added any more embellishment yet. Now just trying to work out how to decorate the envelopes on the inside...

Grandad

Just quickie so I can spend more time on the housework tonight (wink, wink, lol)!!! Here's the layout from tonight's great scrapbook class at the Craft Den. I had a really good time tonight, everyone was on really good form!

I love this photo of my daughter and my Dad. They look quite alike and she is really attached to him, probably because, just like her Daddy, he plays the fool and rolls on the floor with her, something mummies and Grandmas don't do so much! Well Daddies and Grandads do it so well don't they?!

We used the lovely Daisy Bucket Posh Posies papers tonight.I used them last week on a layout(see 14th June as Lynne let me take some away and have a go!) They are really lovely vibrant colours. Lynne prepared some lovely felt die cut flowers and velvet ribbon, and I used the flowers and stalks technique we did in a previous class. It's a really lovely idea. The bling is also from Craft Den, I was a bit more economical this time and just cut off a couple of swirls!

Felt alphas, paper flowers and cardstock from stash.

There are some lovely 7Gypsies papers, metal embellies, stickers and really unusual chipboard shapes and envelope books just come in at the Craft Den. I bought one of the envelope books, and some of the lovely K & Co Madeline papers as they have a really great vintage look and have butterflies on them, one of my favourites. If it goes well I may show it as a work in progress! My big projects always take months to finish because I've always seen something else to start!!

Crafting therapy!

I am planning on creating a whole scrapbook album of my daughter as a baby as I haven't done any of her early baby photos yet. I decided to try 8x8 and here is my very first layout. I have kept it simple as I think her early photos would be overpowered with too much page detail AND I had not appreciated that there is oodles and oodles of space on a 12x12 page and an 8x8 page is so very teeny weeny! 23 layout to go to fill the album, lol!

The papers I am using for the whole album are the Nanna's nursery Girls from the Craft Den. Note the letter stickers I 'discovered' earlier tonight in my stash, perfect!

I need therapy...

I have been tidying my attic (my office, craft room, computer room, guest room, general dumping area) today to try and see the floor and all the other level surfaces. I found a box labelled 'alphabets'. Guess what I found...... loads and loads and loads and loads of alphabet stickers and rub ons, OMG!! And I just bought a load recently as I was getting a bit low.... Except money, what could be more exciting to find than forgotten craft stash!!!! Actually, it's more exciting than finding money! Early night out of the window, I have to craft on now!!! LOL!

2 am - what a wild life!!

I was up until 2am last night, not even partying, but scrapbooking - I have a very sad life now, lol!

I finished two pages using some lovely papers from the Craft Den.

So Grown Up - this is Emma in Scotland a few weeks ago. She looks on a mission to go somewhere and looks so determined. I' m just printing up albums of all the photos we have of Emma during her first few months and I can't believe the changes in such a short time. It still amazes me that I have a little girl and not a baby any longer. Must be getting broody, lol!!

The papers I used are the Bo Bunny Alissa range, with matching card stock letter and flower border stickers, and Bazzill swiss dot pink card, cut with the lovely nestabilties - all from Craft Den. The scalloped paper, butterflies and buttons are from stash.

First Walk - This is Emma's first walk outside, she's about 14 months old (she was very lazy starting to walk, probably takes after her mum!). I love the finger she is sticking in the air and she looks so cute in her beany hat!. The Daisy bucket papers were perfect to bring out the colours of the hat and I cut flowers from coordinating papers, using my retro flower punch. It's hard to see, but I also highlighted some of the dots on the background with glossy accents. All are available from Craft Den, including the Tim Holtz grungeboard letters, acrylic paint and glamour dust. Black cardstock, felt swirl, gems, bobble ribbon and sakura pens from stash.

The layouts were inspired from some of the sketches on 52 Sketches, 52 Weeks blog, which has some great ideas.

Early night tonight I think!!!

Fab new easel!!

Sue brought me a fab easel her Dad made! I joked on her blog about him taking orders for it - and he did, for loads of us!!!! It is fab. I have been able to take a photo of the layout from tonight's Craft Den scrapbooking class instead of having to sit my pages on the second step down in the attic for the only decent light during the day, lol! I just realised the piccy doesn't show much of the easel though, lol! You'll have to visit Sue's blog to see the easel a bit better! (Beyond a Bland Blog, on my list of blogs I follow).

We made pages with a really lovely idea, making flowers out of scalloped circles, and retro flower punches and raising them on 3d foam with green ricrac for stems. Another lovely design by Lynne!

However, I really must remember to ask each week what the papers are called!! I think they are Bo Bunny with a few gems from my stash added for the obligatory touch of bling. All at the Craft Den of course!

At last!!

I had to work through the weekend and was away at a meeting this week so have not had a chance to upload my page from the Craft Den last week. And it's scrapbook class again tonight!!

Here is my page using the lovely Bo Bunny Love shack range and Bazzil Swiss Dots cardstock range, all available at the Craft Den! Note the 'Craft Den Special' flowers again. I said I would use them again soon, lol!

I made a title using my sizzix sidekick, fro the same coordinating paper and added a teeny weeny bit of bling!

I have already done a layout using these photos, but who's counting!

The second page is one we did at the Craft Den a couple of months ago. It features a photo of me as a bridesmaid at my friend Caroline's wedding, who sadly died just over 3 months ago. I found myself a bit upset when I did the page and probably did it too early, so I just put it away in an album. When I saw the lovely blingy adhesive gemstone swirls at Craft Den last week, I decided that was just what I needed to complete the page and made myself finish it, even a little bit of journaling about Caroline's 'soooo her' hat! I feel better about finishing it, as it was a bit 'out of sight, on my mind' I hope you all like it!
All papers and embellies available at Craft Den.
