7Gypsies Project and s/b class

I have been having a lovely time decorating a round chipboard mini book with the 7Gypsies Victoria papers, which are just devine. They are great with the Elusive Images butterfly/flower stamp designs and Crafty Individuals birds stamps, both of which I have used on this book. I also added some Basic Grey fibres which I have had for a while and keep eeking out on various projects. I am very mean with my nice stash, lol! Forgot to mention, everything from Craft Den except for the fibres.

I also had a lovely time at s/b class at Craft Den last night, a really lovely layout as usual and I just had the perfect photo with me. We had a laugh trying to make our own 'bling' swirls on acetate. I cut mine out when I got home and attached it with a brad and I think it looks really lovely.

Layout 135!

I had a lovely night at Craft Den last night. My first s/b class in 4 weeks, I have had such withdrawal symptoms! I had a quick count up last night and this is layout 135! And I wonder where the time goes, lol!

We used some really pretty papers from Black Market. I have to admit I would never in a million years have chosen this paper, and it looks so good in the final layout! It's good to be made to mix it up a bit sometimes and use things you would not normally have looked at. I used a couple of piccies of Emma having a wild swinging time last year as the colours worked well with the paper. I have used some of these photos before as I took about 40, all in various stages of swing, and they all came out great, some of her expressions are really funny.

I have also remembered at last to photograph the last two pages I made last week. I have forgotten everyday to take them while the light is good and only remembered at night. My camera is not very good and everything is blurry if I try to use it after dark!

I s/b the lovely photos I had of Emma making George the snowman last week. He is still there, along with my hat and scarf, but looking much worse for wear now. I had some lovely 'I love you' ribbon, whih I have had for ages and not used, and it seemed to really work on this layout.

The other layout is Emma at the Kelham Island Christmas fair this Dec just gone, having her face painted and taking it really seriously! She chose to be a pink butterfly, so I painted some chipboard butterflies as the embellies.

My Angel

I have managed to fit in a bit of scrapbooking this week, I haven't been tired in the evenings and paid for it in the mornings. I need to get my body clock back to working hours.

Anyway, here is a layout of a lovely picture of Emma on New Year's Day, wearing fairy wings her auntie and uncle Adamson bought her. I love the way the sun is falling on the back of her head and lighting up her lovely blonde hair. I am hoping she will keep it. Mine had gone by the time I was her age, so maybe fingers crossed she will keep the lovely colour and not go mousey brown like me. I punched flowers out of snowflake embossed vellum with the retro punches from Craft Den, and used an acrylic snowflake, edged with white stazon and with some gems on the edges.

I also did a layout of the wintry photos I took in Hillsborough park this week. I used a really lovely turquoise laser cut sheet from Craft Den behind the shaped paper. I cheated and cut the middle out so I can use it something else as well!

Oh no, still working..

Well the snow has been great in one way, I didn't have to travel down to Bracknell today. I looked at the weather yesterday and decided I couldn't drive and bought some train tickets. Then as the snow got worse and worse my manager decided she couldn't make it to the office today either so we cancelled. The down side is I still have to work! Not much excuse when you only have to go upstairs, lol! I ended up working all last night as well, as I had to get Emma early when her nursery closed and didn't get anything done in the afternoon. Well you can't really do much work when you are throwing snowballs and building snowmen!

Here is the masterpiece. He is called George (Emma names everything George or Poppy after the cats).

Here is Hillsborough Park, where we made a quick trip - Emma said she was cold as soon as we got there and cried all the way home. Well it made a lovely photo anyway.

And not to outdo anyone, I don't have a washing line, but I do have a spinny thing!

Choo, choo!!

Finally I have SB'd a photo I have been looking at for months. It's Emma (who'da guessed..) playing on a train ride in the Lakes last year so she's nearly 2 on the photo. The colours were so bright and primary I could not find the paper I wanted for love nor money. I finally decided just to go with it and use primary card stock only with punched edges and ribbon. I also got some great prima essentials flowers for chrimbo so I piled them on as well. I think she looks so cute with her little wee jeans and trainers on!

Boo, hoo, back to work tomorrow and a lovely trip to Bracknell, not.
