Here I am again. I have been told to get blogging by my sister Liz, who is fed up of visting my blog to see if I updated it yet. I have just been soo busy at work that I have not done any crafting at home, only my pages at Craft den on Thursdays. Anyway I have done something about that this weekend!
We had a lovely day at Craft Den on Saturday and did three lovely layouts, although I had to finish the third one at home as we had dilly dallied too long on the first two! I haven't taken photos yet as they are not finished so I'll try and do that tomorrow.
I spent Sunday morning doing a car boot at Tesco's selling off all Emma's clothes I have accumulated over the last 3 years and filling up the attic with. One women stared and the FOUR full rails of clothes and the full table top in amazement when I said they had all been my daughters! I told her it was Emma's complusive shopper and Emma worshipper Grandma who is still steadily spending a small fortune on Emma's clothes! Probably even thinking about it as I type, lol. Anyway made a lovely £195 so feeling another Craft Den spend coming on :-0
It was worth the 5.30 alarm clock (well 4.30 cos the clocks had gone forwards, doh!)though I did think of everyone at the NEC with some envy!
I just have to post a fantastic picture that Emma drew on her etchasketch last night. It has a book with it to copy pictures stage by stage and this was done all by herself. I think she is a genius, only 3 and a half years old! In case you are not sure it's a ladybird, lol.
I got rewarded with some Sunday afternoon crafting time for getting up early and making our fortunes so I made some Gorguss girls decoupage cards. I really enjoyed working with these and will have to buy some more. I also made a card using the lovely Basic Grey Origins 6x6 stack and playing with distress inks and a Crafty Individuals stamp. Hope you like :-)

Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe cards are fantastic and remind me of a cartoon we used to watch as kids. Cities of the Sun, or City of Gold or something (my mind's going in my old age!)
And the ladybird......... well Emma's a true genius who obviously takes after her Auntie Liz :-)
I love the cards.....they are brill. Don't you just love sisters! The comments made me smile. You certainly dedicated to your crafting to get up at 4.30!

ReplyDeletesorry forgot, Emmas ladybird is a true genius round shapes on etch a sketch near impossible unless you are a genius x sue x
ReplyDeleteThe cards are beautiful, lovely colours and the way you've assembled them is brilliant. You've obviously got another budding artist in your midst, watch out Mum she'll be in your stash before you know. xx
ReplyDeleteGosh Kathryn you was busy Sunday making cards. They are all lovely and very different. When I make a couple of cards in one go they tend to have the same theme or colour, but they are all so different! xx
ReplyDeleteLove the cards each one is so individual Kathryn, what a busy day!! enjoy spending the pennies xx
ReplyDeleteThese cards are gorgeous I bought some last night at the Craft Den I don't usually do this kind of thing but they really appealed to me.
ReplyDeleteEmma's drawing is very good for her age, obviously has good hand eye co-ordination (I teach nursery and reception class children).
I love your Gorjuss cards!!!! The colours are just beautiful...I saw these decoupage sheets in a catalogue and loved the images, but I don't 'do' decoupage....I have to say your cards may have changed my mind.....I feel an order coming on!!!
