I haven't blogged for a while (sorry, work as usual) and probably won't for the next week or so, as I am away with work next week and also off looking after Emma. Emma had a double hernia operation yesterday, and thankfully has come out of it really well, apart from an initial need for some morphine when she woke up. She's up and walking today after some encouragement, and slept through last night, so I am a happy mummy!! The anaesthetic was the worst thing. Seeing your baby suddenly slump to one side while sitting on your knee, even though you have been told that she would go quickly, and having to support her head suddenly is really scary, and I admit I left the theatre room quite shakily. Throughout the whole day I could not fault the paediatric nurse and doctor teams at the Hallamshire, absolutely nothing was a problem and we were never alone for more than a short space of time before they came round to check her again.
Just had some little bit of crafting time tonight. The past few nights I have not been able to concentrate worrying about the upcoming op, and last night I just collapsed into bed! I have done another 8 x 8 page of my album of Emma as a baby. I'd already chosen all the photos for the album and am only using DCWV Nanna's nursery girl papers, so I could just pick up and do a quick page without too much thought, which was what I needed tonight. Will post a piccy later when I have time to take a picture in the daytime along with my layout for last week's CraftDen S/B class. I am looking forward to coming back when Emma is better :-)
