A real quickie

Hi all, just a very quickie. Another busy week, as we are busy painting Emma's room, which is taking waaayyyy longer than anticipated so not much craft going on. Last Wednesday at Craft Den we did some watercolouring with distress inks. I really was not getting on well with it and I get bored if I can't do it, but the last one was not too bad - dont look very closely....!

I have made a card for my friend Emma as she has invited us to a Halloween party to celebrate her new patio (it makes sense if you know her, lol) so I will send this card to accept the invitation, she won't be critical about my watercolouring!

Back to the painting tonight. I need to get Emma back in her own bed as soon as possible. She is sharing with me at the moment and she is the biggest duvet hogger and bed creeper ever. I wake up every morning clinging onto the edge of the bed, with Emma, almost on top of me, snoring away and absolutely no duvet covering the vast expanse of bed on her other side. It's a king size, she does well to travel it all in one night!

  1. Well I think your colouring with the Distress inks is very good. I got on better with the thinner brush. Love that image, very cute. Those papers are lovely rich colours for halloween. Emma sounds like Amy, when she ever gets in bed with me. Thankfully it's not very often now. Only when she feels ill or upset. Love Sandra x

  2. Wow it Bootiful Kathryn really poppy colours!!! Your colouring looks amazing I think we just need a bit more practice but I do love the effect it gives!!!

Emma sounds like heaven to sleep with you should try "Dusty"!!! lol Love Chanelle xx

  3. love the colours so full of colour! you know what I mean, isn't it terrible when you cant sleep and they are fast on lol x sue x

  4. love the card.....Halloween is so cute!. The distress inks looks great!

  5. Hi K,

I love this card and your water colouring is great, you should get bored of it, your too good.

Love the pumpkins & ghosts embellies.

    LOve Kerry xxx

  6. awe, Bless Emma & you! I have a bed hogger too that turns into a starfish each night & I constantly wake up on the edge!! Thanks for your lovely comments. They always make me smile (hugs) Please can I shout at you Mrs.. your card is GORGEOUS & so is your painting. Have fun. Love Gez.xx

  7. A great card, I love these papers, your colouring is very good, i need a bit more practise... I had both my grandsons at the weekend so I know all about bed hogging, awake early and straight into nan's bed, no chance of a lie in when they are around...it was well worth it tho. xoxo Ann
